Review Articles T.O Olusola -Fadumiye Titilope. pp. 50 - 53 AReducing Poverty and Achieving Sustainable Development in the Economy : A Case Study of Ado –Ekiti Local Government Area of Ekiti State Nigeria.
The study investigated the reduction of poverty and achieving sustainable development in the public sector of the economy. The study was a descriptive design of the survey type which was designed to find out the causes of poverty in the economy sector .A population of 500 people from 10 rural and urban areas were used for the study. Questionnaire tagged poverty reduction and achieving sustainable development was used to elicit information from the people in the rural and urban areas. Data collected were analyzed using simple percentage, Pearson product moment correlation and chi-square to test the hypotheses generated in the study. The findings showed that there was a significant relationship between reducing poverty in the public sector of the economy and achieving a sustainable development in the economy where there are different ways in which a sound and effective strategy for economic growth can be established and implemented. Rapid, broad-based and sustainable growth is an
essential and powerful instrument for poverty reduction, high rate of saving and investment and rising of productivity are the foundation for rapid and sustainable growth, human development plays an essential role in fostering growth, government policies are critical determinants of investment, the people are the central players in the growth process. It was recommended that there should be a political participation of programs that will ensure fair legal protection and provide equivalent health and education to the poor people. Government should adopt a holistic approach to poverty alleviation in the country.

Ahmed Z. B. pp. 54 - 58 The Concept “In-Vitro Fertilization and Egg Donation” : An Islamic Point of View
The concept “In-Vitro Fertilization and egg donation”. The Islamic point of view attempts to look at the concepts in Islam. The two are some of the methods in use in assisting those who cannot conceive normally. Islam as a religion does not stop its adherents in using innovations that are discovered in the advancements of knowledge. However, it cautions that all innovations must be lawful within the frame work of Sharia. The Prophet of Islam states that “Search for knowledge is a must for every Muslim”. Scholars however, have the major task in finding out the position of any innovation that may be witnessed so as to put Muslims in proper perspectives. This work therefore will attempt to define the two concepts, briefly examines their applications and the position of Islam on them.
